All changes and improvements to Password Generator, newest first. Each entry shows the version, the deployment date and time, and whether it is a new feature or a fix.
Out of beta — version 1.0. The app leaves beta and drops the beta badge. Every sub-page now shows the suite favicon, and cookie use follows a GDPR consent banner: non-essential cookies are only set after you choose “Accept”, while “Decline” keeps everything session-only. The strictly-necessary consent cookie remembers your choice.
First beta release of Password Generator. Create strong, random passwords of any length from four character sets (lowercase, uppercase, digits, symbols) with options such as excluding ambiguous characters, always starting with a letter, avoiding repeated characters and guaranteeing one character from every set. Each password shows its entropy in bits, a plain-language rating, and a transparency table estimating how long a dictionary attack, a home computer, a GPU cracking rig and a botnet would need on average to crack it — with each technology explained in non-technical terms. Everything runs fully in your browser using the secure crypto random generator; nothing is ever uploaded.
